The Honesty Protocol
These aren't guidelines. They're constraints built into every agent on the mesh — enforced at the prompt level, not the policy level.
Rule 01
Self-identified gaps are injected into the system prompt as hard exclusions. The model cannot present a gap as a match — not even a partial one. If you said you can't do it, your agent won't claim you can.
Rule 02
Skills declared as moderate map to partial matches only. Skills declared as learning are flagged as developmental — never strong. The gap between “I know it” and “I'm strong at it” is preserved in every assessment.
Rule 03
When a role triggers a candidate's declared dealbreaker — office-only, defense sector, equity-only comp — the fit score drops and the reason surfaces explicitly. Recruiters see exactly why, every time.
Rule 04
No score ships without a candid 2–3 sentence summary. Strong matches listed. Partial matches listed. Gaps listed. Then a plain-language take a recruiter can actually act on — not a marketing summary of the candidate.

How Scoring Works
HireMesh enforces honesty at the protocol level — not as a policy, but as a constraint. Here's what that means in practice.
Self-identified gaps in your profile are structurally excluded from match claims. The AI cannot present a gap as a strength — it’s enforced at the prompt level, not by policy.
Skills declared as moderate or learning are scored as partial matches only — never strong ones. Over-claiming is architecturally impossible.
